Andrea Verdegan

Before working with the Polar Huskies, Andrea was a professional basketball player by trade.

Setting out in elementary school learning how to dribble and shoot, In high school she became a three sport athlete, playing volleyball, basketball, and running track. Excelling in basketball she received full scholarship to play point guard for South Dakota State University (SDSU). Named captain her junior and senior year she lead her team to the Women's National Invitation Tournament both years.

Graduating with a Bachelor in Psychology, Andrea continued overseas to play professionally for Groningen in the Netherlands, followed by briefly playing in Germany. However, missing home, she returned to the United States where for a short time she took the opportunity to explore teaching working with special need children.

A professional athlete Andrea is familiar with hard work and she is interested in the psychology of successful athletes -- Skill and interest that hopefully work to her advantage as part of Team GoNorth!
